Anomia is an incredibly fun and fast-paced party game that tests your reaction time and vocabulary. The goal of the game is to be the first player to get rid of all of their cards by matching them with other players’ cards based on a given criteria, such as the first name of a celebrity, a type of food, or a place.
The game is played with a deck of cards, each of which has four different words on it. When a player’s turn comes up, they flip over the top card of the deck and read out one of the words on it. All of the other players then have to try to find a card in their hand that matches the word that was read out, based on the criteria that was given. For example, if the word that was read out was “actor,” then all of the other players would have to try to find a card in their hand that had the name of an actor on it.
