The tragic incident occurred when Rene was at a Ski resort. There was the avalanche occurrence when he and his friends were skiing. 

Both of them got caught and lost their lives with several injuries. It has been unfortunate that the rider was having a time with his friend; but ended up with a tragic incident that led to the death.

Rene was a young rider with a successful career. He was just a 19-years-old when he lost his life.

Hofer was born on 4 January 2002 in Linz with Austria as his nationality. Starting off his career early, he has become one of the prominent riders now. 

Only at 14 years of age, Rene in motocross landed a world title. Although looking into his skills, most people had already expected it. 

He has been a biker when at three years age. Thus, from age 7 to 14 has been a breakthrough for his career as a rider.
