Loek van Mil is one of the most popular and richest Baseball Player who was born on September 15, 1984 in Oss, Kingdom of the Netherlands. Ludovicus Jacobus Maria “Loek” van Mil ([luk van mIl]; 15 September 1984 – 28 July 2019 was a Dutch professional pitcher of baseball). He was 7’1″ (2.16m) tall and one of the most prominent players in professional baseball history. He was a member of Curacao Neptunus, the Honkbal Hoofdklasse, and the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles (NPB) of Nippon Professional Baseball. He was the closer for the Dutch national baseball team in the 2013 World Baseball Classic, the 2015 Premier 12, and also appeared in the 2007 Baseball World Cup. Due to injury, he missed the 2008 Summer Olympics.
Van Mil pitched during the 2008 season for the Beloit Snappers, Class A Midwest League. His first 44 /3 innings were a 2-2 record. He had 3 saves, a 3.22 ERA, and 42 strikeouts. This earned him a spot in the Midwest League All-Star Game. Van Mil sustained a partially torn ligament in his right ulnar collateral ligament while preparing for the 2008 Summer Olympics. He missed seven weeks of the 2009 season as he was undergoing rehabilitation.
