Pedersen was chosen as a part on the national team of USA during the 2009 World University Games held in Belgrade, Serbia. The team was victorious in all seven games and earned the medal of gold. Pedersen scored an average of 5.1 scores per match and was the third-highest rebounder with 6.4 each game.
In 2010, she led the NCAA in scoring, assists, and rebounds. She was a top 10 draft prospect.
