Gould was born on the 27th of July, 1987 and was raised at Burlington, Ontario in a family of three brothers. When she was 16, she took part as a participant in her first Forum for Young Canadians, spending one week in Ottawa studying the federal government. It was this experience that she credits as the inspiration for her desire to pursue becoming a politician. When she graduated from M.M. Robinson High School at the age of 2005 She spent the following year working in the orphanage located in Mexico and got married to the man she would marry, Alberto Gerones.

During the campaign for her seat she was the subject of a small amount of attention when she deleted a three-year-old tweet that expressed opposition to Enbridge Northern Gateway Pipelines which was later not approved from Trudeau’s Trudeau government – as well as to developing the Alberta Tar Sands generally. She was defeated by Conservative incumbent Mike Wallace, who had been in the seat in the federal election of 2006 in the 2006 federal election, winning 46 percent of the votes against his 42.5 percent.
