GL's favorite Emo tunes and fashion
If you saw our December/January 2012 issue and read the “You Said It” page, you’ll know we apologized for our lack of knowledge on the meaning of the word, “emo.” We apologize again to any readers who were offended!
We asked readers to send in their fave emo tracks and fashion so we could get schooled in on the genre. We read and listened to all of your suggestions, and then picked our faves! Thanks for all the input, chicas.

GL Readers’ Top Emo Tracks:
A popular fave amongst our readers was the band, Marianas Trench. A Canadian pop-punk band, their first album debuted in 2006, and their third album, Ever After, was just released in November. I highly recommend checking it out!
“Far From Here” – Marianas Trench
This is definitely a song to rock out in your room to with your friends.
“Whisper” - Evanescence
An older tune, but that definitely doesn’t take away from its awesomeness.
“Alibis” – Marianas Trench
The slower melody behind the song brings a new type of tune for Marianas Trench, and we really love it!
“Believe” – Blood On The Dance Floor
Losing hope in your dreams? We all fall down at some point. This song will push you through.
“The Mortician's Daughter” – Black Veil Brides
This song’s lyrics are very sad, but very cute. They sort of tell a love story.
Have a favorite emo track we’re missing? Blog about it, babes.
