Chris Street is one of the most popular and richest American basketball player who was born on February 2, 1972 in Leon, Iowa, United States. Christopher Michael Street (February 2 1972 until January 19th 1993) was an American basketball player from the college level. He was an offensive forward for the Iowa Hawkeyes from 1990 to 1993. A possible NBA participant, he passed away in a crash with a vehicle in his junior year at Iowa.
On the 19th of January 1993, following a group evening meal in the Highlander Inn outside of Iowa City, Street was killed after he drove his vehicle onto the highway and crashed with the snow plowing. Street’s girlfriend Kim Vinton, was an in-car participant. She escaped the accident and was treated in an area hospital with a punctured lung as well as a broken shoulder. The basketball match scheduled against Northwestern the next night was delayed.
Chris Street’s 40th number was retired by the university of Iowa’s men’s basketball squad at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on February 6 the 6th of February, 1993.
